Business Development Director

The Business Development Director will be responsible for leading our sales team and managing all key relationships with eCommerce platform and third party ecosystem partners. The Business Development Director assists our partners in building and delivering successful solutions that leverage their platforms to drive revenue.  This position requires a background in the digital and eCommerce industries, credibility in front of sales executives and C-level audiences, and experience managing channel relationships.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leading and managing the business development team
  • Driving sales and marketing relationships with each partner
  • Driving joint marketing initiatives
  • Serving as liaison to partner channel manager teams, executives, and field sales teams
  • Account Planning: Work with partner managers to identify opportunities and joint target accounts.
  • Coordinating with ZehnerGroup and partner sales teams regarding joint opportunities, this may include pipeline and forecast reviews
  • Educate partners on ZehnerGroup capabilities and success stories to help stimulate partner based lead referrals
  • Serve as internal trusted advisor to Partners, ensuring internal product management, and managing access to early release programs and product roadmaps
  • Perform partner needs assessment to identify training courses required to ramp-up on platforms and solutions
  • On occasion, deliver introductory training courses and supplementary materials (e.g. overview presentations and hands-on exercises) to illustrate platform-specific features and functionalities
  • Work closely with internal trainers and content development teams to improve content and delivery for educational programs
  • Develop technical best practices for Digital Commerce platforms and communicate with partners
  • Conceive and implement development of Partner platforms demos, from ideation to proof of concept
  • Serve as internal trusted advisor to Partners, ensuring internal product management, and managing access to early release programs and product roadmaps
  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, and the platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement and extend Partner platforms
  • Work with the assigned partner manager to identify, prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to demonstrate ZehnerGroup's value prop as a trusted systems integrator

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience with eCommerce platforms and digital marketing solutions, or web content management solutions required
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Solutions selling skills and demonstrated success developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Conversant in enterprise product, solution and technology strategies with the ability to convert current knowledge and skills to the eCommerce Platform partners
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • High energy level and ability to work independently
  • Education: Minimum Bachelors Degree. Technical or computer science degree preferred
