As a User Experience Design Associate at Zehner, you will be responsible for designing products for our clients’ brands that meet usability objectives and user requirements. The product design should also display simple and elegant solutions for complex usability challenges. The ideal candidate would want to embrace these challenges and get a feel for working with a medium-sized, very fast paced agency. You will present your ideas to non-design teams and senior executives. The ideal user experience designer will oversee the design process from ideation to the final production and iteration process.

The ideal candidate is someone who can demonstrate and embrace the following:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional design experience.
  • Has high interest in web and mobile design, particularly having knowledge in the leading fashion and lifestyle space.
  • Eager to dive deeper and can recognize design opportunities.
  • Experience collaborating through a rapid, agile and iterative process.
  • Creating UX deliverables: wireframes, functional specifications, sitemaps, user journeys, flows, personas, site audits, etc.
  • Have experience with wireframing and prototyping tools for UI/UX such as Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch and InVision.
  • You must demonstrate visual design skills - typography, color, grid, hierarchy and other related design principles applied to create user interfaces.
  • Help conduct usability testing to determine how designs are accepted by end users.
  • Validate designs with customers and stakeholders in order to drive iterative improvements.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and complete work within allocated time frames.

  • Experience utilizing website analytics tools to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with SEO techniques.
  • Development skills in HTML5/ CSS3, some JavaScript (jQuery) is a plus.
